Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports league for children, provides a fun kids sports experience based on healthy competition.

Upward Basketball ….Every Child Is A Winner! When your child plays Upward Basketball, he/she will be able to:

  • Practice and play a game every week (To be set by coach/leader-January till end of season)
  • Get equal playing time
  • Learn techniques to improve his/her basketball skills
  • Receive special recognition awards after every game
  • Develop new friendships

Coach Recruitment: Our top priority is recruiting dedicated head coaches who are committed to teaching youth about God’s love. We want to ensure every team reflects this focus. We may have coaches who excel at spiritual leadership but need support with basketball fundamentals, which will be our focus to support.

We are moving our timeline forward. Evaluations will take place on November 7th, 14th, and 21st. Time to be determined as we get closer to the dates. To streamline team formation, we plan to go paperless and provide computers for walk-in registrations.

  – Practices: We aim to start practices on December 7th, giving teams two weeks of practice before Christmas break. Only basketballs will be needed initially (coordinated by Ray), as team boxes will not be required yet.

  – Games & Gear: Thanks to an earlier Upward order, team boxes will be ready when we return from Christmas break. We will have one week of practice after the break before games begin, ensuring a full season before soccer starts.
